Every parent you ask will say they don’t have a favorite child. But every oldest sibling knows that’s not true. The youngest is always the favorite, even if the parents don’t realize it. And honestly, this book is the “youngest child” of my library.

Let me tell you a story… On a nice winter day, I decided to visit the library. I hitched a ride with my mom on the way to drop off my cousin, and when we walked in, I breathed in that signature library smell. Which is an interesting combination of books and a weird scent I can only describe as old people and germs.

I LOVE Powerless. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about this book. More specifically, that I don’t think about Kai, but we can save that small obsession for another time. We might need an entire post just to cover that topic.
