Hi, I’m Ava. Welcome to my cozy corner of the internet where I share my honest reviews of books I’ve read and give you suggestions to keep in your pocket for a rainy day.

Some of my favourite books are A Place to Hang the Moon, The Powerless Series, The Divergent Series, and Where the Red Fern Grows. But you can find me reading pretty much anything with a mix of fantasy, romance, and heartfelt adventures.

When I’m not reading, a task that happily takes up many hours of my day, you can find me riding horses, writing stories, baking yummy treats, or sipping on a hot chai tea latte while imagining myself as the heroine of my own story.

I started this blog not only because I love reading and needed an outlet to share the books I enjoy, but also because I believe words have power. They can bring people together, make you feel inspired, comforted, or even sad, and sometimes they can even change your outlook on life.

As a strong Christian, I don’t want to waste my time ingesting content that doesn’t benefit my mind and soul. I dislike picking up a book that’s been highly recommended and labeled as “clean,” only to find it’s filled with swearing or inappropriate content.

Another challenge I face as an absolute lover of romance is how hard it has become to find wholesome stories that still leave you smiling long after you’ve turned the last page.

It’s my hope that through this blog, you won’t waste your time on books that disappoint, but instead discover ones that make you feel happy inside. You can trust that my reviews are honest – not half-truths or exaggerations. I’ll always tell it exactly as I see it, no buts about it.

If you’re looking for books with spice, this might not be the blog for you, but you’re still welcome to stay! Who knows, maybe you’ll find a story here that becomes your new favourite.

I’m very passionate about books, and I have strong opinions that I stand by. Please know I’m never trying to offend anyone with what I say about a book. Just because I may not like a book that you love doesn’t mean one opinion is better than the other. I’m simply sharing my honest thoughts.
